Purpose: To discuss student participation on the Journal of Space Law and student research projects.

US-China Student Space Law Research Symposium
Meaghan Hill 3L, Anna South 1L, and Whitney Warrington 3L traveled with Prof. Gabrynowicz to the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Law (BIT) and the Harbin Institute School of Law (HIT) for the second US-China Student Space Law Research Symposium. The students were selected through an anonymous, competitive process for which National Center for Remote Sensing, Air, and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law (Center) received many applications.
Last year's symposium was hosted at the Center in Mississippi and consisted of top students from BIT and HIT and the Center.

Prof. Gabrynowicz presented at the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and European Centre for Space Law (ECSL) Space Law Symposium 2011.
Prof. Gabrynowicz's presentation was titled Legal implications for delimitation of airspace and outer space.

Reception for Dr. Wang Guoyu
A lunch reception for the 2011-2012 Visiting Scholar, Dr. Wang Guoyu was held at the Center's main suite, on Wednesday 2 Feb. Dr. Wang is the deputy dean of Space Law Institute and lecturer, Beijing Institute of Technology and will be with the Center for the calendar year.

Girl Scout Visit
On Wednesday, 26 January 2011, Girl Scouts from local troops visited the National Center for Remote Sensing, Air and Space Law to complete their Aerospace badges. The girls joined in activities and listened to presentations by the Center's Faculty, Staff and Students as well as a guest presentation by Mr. John Graham highlighting the achievements of women in the aerospace field.
Upon completing all the necessary steps, the girls were presented their aerospace badges by the Dean of the Law School, Dean Gershon.
