The China Research Initiative

Flag of ChinaThe Center is involved in a wide variety of activiites with a number of law schools in China. These include, research, guest lectures, translations, moot court, meetings, symposia, and conferences. A common feature of these activities is exchange of scholarship and information to advance the field of space law.

Research Initiative: China

The Space and Aviation Law Initiative

Addressing the growing need for objective and timely space and aviation law in areas that include: deployment and operation of satellites, commercial infrastructure, data policies, intellectual property; privacy, liability, international law, use of imagery as legal evidence, environmental issues, and licensing.

The Space Exploration Law Initiative

Addressing legal issues raised by domestic and international space exploration.  Issues include the establishment of a permanent lunar base; improving policy and legal stability for commercial space investments; reducing legal and regulatory barriers to international space cooperation; and, assessing European Commission regulatory actions affecting space activities.
